The Drop-In Center concept developed for PLHAs is designed for providing counselling and psychological, emotional and social support to HIV positive persons and for enabling smooth linkages with the health care system. It also meant to reduce stigma & discrimination and to bring PLWHAs together so to promote self-help groups to provide support system to the PLWHAs & their families. OSACS has established Drop-in Centres through CBOs (Community Based Organization) of PLHAs to provide proper counseling, psychological, emotional & social support to PLHAs.
Two centres are operational at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack respectively, while 2 others would be established by mid- 2008.
